I really hate to take one, but I need to.

    I know you'll understand.

The Colonel leaves in 5 days.

    5 Days.

He's home this week and I want to spend as much time as I can with him.

I'm about to do something I don't know how to do.

Say "Good-bye" to someone I love for a year.

I really could use your prayers.

    I'll be back next Monday.

    Thank you!

Please do thank the Colonel for his service. May God go before him and also keep your family safe in His care. You are all in my prayers, and I mean that.

My nephew, a 22 yr old Marine, leaves for his second tour in Afghanistan soon...his equipment is already on the way.

How are the kids holding up?

I feel so blessed to know you in the blogosphere and thank you for sharing your life.

I almost forgot Lois, Native Americans will never say Goodbye because it is not in their vocabulary (Bear is Cherokee), they will say See you Later, Take Care but never Goodbye so don't say Goodbye, tell him you love him and you'll be right here. Okay, I'm sniffling now so gotta go....Take care, lots of good vibes being sent to you right now!

Hello my friend, I sure understand the need for this break. Tell the Colonel that he has prayers from this family down in Florida daily until he returns safely home, and sweet Lois, be strong and of good courage. We will be praying for you and the children each day as well. We so appreciate the sacrifice that you are all making.

Enjoy these special days, sweetie, and let the Lord wrap His arms around you and give your heart comfort and peace.

Remember that I've been there, and that I'm only a call away.

      Love you,
      Becky

Lois I know you must be very proud of "The Colonel"...and please let him know that your bloggy friends are proud of him too.

I prayed for you this morning. I know God's grace will be with you as you go through this seperation.

Elisabeth Elliott always said..."Just do the next thing!" This thought has helped me face many things. It's the same idea as taking "one day at a time", and getting through that, instead of looking at the whole year that you will have to get through.

I prayed that these next few days that you have together will be very special ones.

Is this the first time for him to be gone this long?

I know it will be hard...and I will pray, but God is faithful and as I said His grace is sufficient!

      Love in Christ,
      Linda @ Truthful Tidbits

ENJOY every minute you have together making memories you can thumb through while he is gone. Please tell your husband how much I appreciate what he is willing to do for all of us. And you too!! I will pray for you both...

I had a friend whose husband has already been there and back. She marked her time in short intervals, rather than thinking of it as a YEAR. Example... it is only 2 months and it will be Easter, and then when that came, OK now it is only 6 weeks till my birthday etc., and the time went MUCH quicker that way she said.

God bless you and keep you always Lois...
