These Pillsbury Crescent Rolls with Cheese and Garlic are made with only four ingredients and ready in 20 minutes. These are cheesy and full of garlic flavor! Let me show you how to make another crescent roll recipe your family is going to love.
Pillsbury Crescent Rolls with Cheese are coated with homemade garlic butter "twice." I brush garlic butter on the surface of the crescent rolls, stuff them with mozzarella cheese, roll them up and then I brush more garlic butter on top right before baking.
Doesn't that sound delicious?
This recipe was inspired by my Garlic Parmesan Monkey Bread which is also full of garlic butter and cheese. Both recipes are the perfect side dish to homemade soup or pasta with homemade tomato sauce with meatballs.

Recipe FAQ
While pretty similar in shape, crescent rolls are made with a yeast dough and croissants are made with a puff pastry that has layers of butter.
Recipe Variations
- Pepperoni - add sliced pepperoni to the crescent rolls before rolling them up.
- Cheese Sticks - use half a cheese stick in each crescent roll.
- Italian Sausage- add crumbled, cooked Itlalian sausage to the crescent rolls also before rolling up.
- See this Crescent Roll Pizza Braid recipe here on my website!
Storage Tips
- Store any leftovers in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
- You can easily reheat any leftovers in the microwave.
- These ingredients don't stand up well to freezing; which is really okay, because I guarantee you will not have any leftovers.
Top Recipe Tip
Roll the crescent rolls up tight to make sure the cheese doesn't ooze out while baking.

Can I get gluten free crescent??
Lois says
I'm not really sure if Pillsbury sells a gluten free crescent roll. I believe you can purchase a mix to make them on your own.
