Pork Won Tons

Pork Won Tons are a fun appetizer to make for company or you can easily prepare a bunch of these and serve as a light dinner for your family.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coleslaw mix
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 cup cooke pork roast
  • teriyaki or soy sauce
  • wonton wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter.
  2. Add the coleslaw mix and saute for a few minutes until softened.
  3. Add the cooked pork and the teriyaki or soy sauce.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  5. Lay out your wonton wrappers and spoon about 1 tablespoon of the pork/coleslaw mixture into the center.
  6. Using your finger or a small pastry brush, apply some water to the edges of the wonton wrapper.
  7. Heat some oil in a heavy saucepan.
  8. Add the prepared wontons, a few at a time.
  9. Fry until golden brown; let the drain on a baking sheet lined with paper towels.
  10. Serve with hot mustard or soy sauce.
