Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cake

This Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cake recipe is so easy because it starts out with a vanilla cake mix and then you add delicious creamy peanut butter and chocolate chips!

Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 pkg. yellow or white cake mix with pudding
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

For the Chocolate Icing:

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 4 TBS unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 TBS milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

For the Cake:

  • In a bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the cake mix, eggs, peanut butter and milk until smooth.
  • Then add the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into a cake pan that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.

For the Icing:

  • Combine the powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.
  • Using a spoon, start drizzling the icing over the cake.
