Homemade Waffles

Never buy frozen waffles again!  You'll love how easy it is to make homemade waffles for your family with this recipe and I even include freezing tips for the leftovers...if there are any!

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 TBS. sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the waffle iron while you make the batter.
  • In a large bowl, beat the eggs using a hand beater or whisk until fluffy.
  • Beat in flour, milk, vegetable oil, sugar, baking powder, salt and vanilla, just until smooth.
  • Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Pour mix onto hot waffle iron and cook until golden brown

Notes

Freezing Tips To freeze any leftover waffles, place them on a baking tray and then place the tray in the freezer for 20 to 30 minutes until frozen. Remove the frozen waffles from the baking tray and add to a freezer bag, label and return to freezer. To Reheat Frozen Waffles Reheat the frozen waffles in a toaster oven.
