Instructions
Pat the steaks dry with paper towels to help them cook evenly.
Let the steaks rest at room temperature for 20–30 minutes before cooking
Lightly brush both sides of the steaks with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with the steak seasoning.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 5 minutes.
Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the steaks reach your desired doneness. (For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130–135°F.)
Remove the steaks from the air fryer and cover with aluminum foil and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Bring to Room Temperature: Let the steak sit out for 15–20 minutes before cooking. This helps it cook more evenly.
Pat Dry Before Seasoning: Moisture prevents browning. Use paper towels to dry the steak thoroughly, then season generously with salt, pepper, and any preferred spices.
Preheat the Air Fryer: A hot air fryer gives the steak a better sear. Preheat it for 3–5 minutes at 400°F before adding the meat.
Flip Halfway Through: Turn the steak halfway through cooking to promote even browning and texture on both sides.
Avoid Overcrowding: Cook one or two steaks at a time. Air needs to circulate freely around the meat to cook properly.
Let It Rest: After cooking, let the steak rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute for maximum tenderness.
