In a mixing bowl, make the crumble. Add the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Blend together with a fork until combined.
Add in the cubed butter to the dry mixture and use a fork or pastry cutter to blend the butter and dry ingredients together until crumbly. Set aside.
Put the Casserole Together
In a baking dish, add the can of apple slices. Remove the cinnamon rolls from the tube and cut into pieces, placing in the baking dish as well. Set aside the icing for later.
Use a spoon to stir the apples and cinnamon roll pieces together so they are spread evenly in the dish.
Pour the heavy cream all over the apples and cinnamon rolls.
Top with the crumble and bake in the oven for 50-55 minutes. The crumble should be golden brown and cinnamon rolls cooked through.
Melt the icing from the cinnamon roll tube in the microwave and drizzle all over the apple cinnamon roll crumble.
Serve and enjoy while warm!
Notes
You can put this casserole together the night before! Just assemble everything except the brown sugar topping, cover it well, and pop it in the fridge. Store the topping separately in the fridge too.The next morning, let the casserole sit out for about 30-45 minutes so it comes to room temperature a bit – this helps it bake more evenly. Then, add the topping and bake as directed!
