Add the cranberries, sugar, and water to the inner pot of your Instant Pot. Secure the lid, ensuring the pressure release valve is in the "sealing" position.
Set the Instant Pot to high pressure and cook for 8 minutes.
Once the cook time is complete, turn off the Instant Pot and allow the pressure to release naturally. This should take about 10-15 minutes.
. Carefully open the lid and stir the cranberry sauce. As it cools, the sauce will thicken further.
Serve warm or chilled.
Notes
For a smoother sauce, use an immersion blender to puree the sauce after it has cooled slightly.
Cranberries are a very tart fruit and you do need a generous amount of sugar when preparing the sauce.
Please taste the cranberry sauce after releasing the pressure to see if you need to add more sugar.
This cranberry sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
