These adorable Mummy Mozzarella Sticks are wrapped in crescent dough bandages and baked to golden perfection. They're the perfect treat for Halloween parties, movie nights, or anytime you're craving a cheesy, festive bite. Kids and adults alike will love these fun and easy snacks!
Place the mozzarella cheese sticks in the freezer and freeze for 2-4 hours.
Preheat oven to 375°F
Unroll one tube of crescent roll dough and press the seams of 2 triangles together. Then slice it evenly in half.
Wrap one half around the frozen cheese stick so the dough completely covers the cheese stick. Make sure it's completely covered. Press the edges together to seal the cheese stick completely in the crescent roll dough.
Continue this process with all 8 cheese sticks.
Unroll the second tube of crescent dough and press the seams together. Roll it out to about ½" thickness. Cut thin strips for bandages using a pizza cutter or knife.
Wrap the dough strips around the cheese sticks, twisting and breaking them for a spooky look. Repeat until all sticks are mummified.
Place the mummies on a baking tray that's been lined with either parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This will help the rolls keep their shape and prevent them from spreading too much during baking.
Brush each mummy cheese stick with the beaten egg white.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and immediately press the candy eyes into the top of each mummy. The heat should help them stay in place.
Notes
You'll likely have some leftover crescent roll dough. Don't let it go to waste! You can either roll it up with some cinnamon and sugar for a quick sweet treat, or grab a few extra cheese sticks and make even more mummies!
