Instructions
Set the air fryer to 375°F and let it preheat for 2–3 minutes before adding the pita pizzas.
Spread 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce over each of the store-bought pita breads.
Divide the mozzarella cheese between both pita breads.
Arrange pepperoni slices and any additional toppings as desired.
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Carefully place the assembled pita pizza in the air fryer basket and cook for 5-6 minutes.
Slice and garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
Notes
Preheat the air fryer which will give you a crispier base and even cooking.
Be careful not to use too much sauce. Too much can make the pita soggy, so use just a thin layer.
Keep the toppings light and evenly spread so everything cooks evenly and doesn’t weigh down the pita.
Make sure you use shredded cheese melts faster and more evenly than slices.
Air fryers cook quickly—start with 4–5 minutes and check often to avoid burning.
