Mix ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning into the beef then divide into two portions and shape into patties, keeping the center slightly thinner than the edges for even cooking.
Season both sides with salt, pepper.
Place the patties in the air fryer (lining with foil is optional for easy cleanup).
Cook at 350°F for 10 minutes for medium-well.
Top each burger with 1-2 tablespoons of pizza sauce, a slice of mozzarella cheese, and a few slices of pepperoni.
Return to the air fryer for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
Place the burgers on a plate to rest while you prepare the buns.
Prepare the Garlic Butter by mixing the 2 tablespoons melted butter with the garlic powder, dried parsley and onion powder.
Brush a little bit of garlic butter on each bun and place them in the air fryer to toast until lightly golden brown.
Remove and add the burgers, serve and enjoy.
Notes
Preheat your air fryer so it’s hot when the burgers go in—this helps sear the outside and lock in juices.
Give the patties space in the basket to allow hot air to circulate and cook them evenly.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temp reaches 160°F for safe, juicy burgers.
Flip the burgers halfway through to promote even browning on both sides.
Avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking, or you’ll lose flavorful juices.
Let them rest a few minutes after cooking so the juices redistribute and the burgers stay tender.
