Bake the cookies according to the package directions.
Allow the cookies to cool completely before decorating.
Spread frosting on each cookie being sure to leave a little border.
Press two candy eyes into the frosting for the eyes and one red M&M for the nose on each cookie.
Then add pretzel twists to the top of each cookie for the antlers.

After you've baked your sugar cookies and frosted them with chocolate, it's important to store them properly so they stay fresh and delicious.
The first step is to make sure the cookies are completely cooled. Otherwise, the heat from the cookies can melt the chocolate and ruin the frosting.
Once the cookies are cooled, you can store them in an airtight container at room temperature.
If you're not planning to eat them within a few days, you can also store them in the refrigerator. Just be sure to bring them back to room temperature before serving, as cold cookies can be hard to bite into.
