Add the soy sauce and continue cooking for another minute.
Season with salt and pepper if necessary.
Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool before assembling the wontons.
How to Assemble the Wontons
Lay the wonton wrappers on top of a piece of parchment paper.
Place about a tablespoon of the cooled coleslaw mixture in one corner of the wonton wrapper.
Dip your finger in a small bowl filled with water and spread a very little amount of the water over the edges of the wonton.
Fold one corner of the wonton wrapper catty-corner to the opposite corner creating a triangle shape pressing the sides together firmly squeezing out any air bubbles.
Place on a baking tray that's been covered with parchment paper and cover with a damp paper towel while you continue forming the rest of the wontons, adding them to the tray and keeping covered also with the dampened paper towel.
How to Air Fry the Wontons
Preheat the air fryer by setting the temperature to 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
Once the air fryer is preheated, spray the basket with non-stick cooking spray and add a few wontons to the basket and let cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until the wontons are golden brown.
Repeat the process until all the wontons are cooked.
Once cooked remove from the basket and let cool before enjoying.
Notes
Freezing Tips:
After you have formed all the wontons, place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.
Place the tray in the freezer to flash freeze for about 30 minutes.
Once frozen, store in a freezer safe bag for up to 3 months.
