Instructions
In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
Add in the chopped chives and garlic powder. Mix until combined and creamy.
Lay 24 wonton wrappers out on a piece of parchment paper.
Spread about a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center of the wonton wrapper.
Using a silicone brush, brush a layer of water around all the edges of the wonton wrapper.
Bring all four corners of the wrappers together and press to seal completely.
Place the "bundle" on a parchment lined baking sheet until you have a bunch ready to go into the air fryer.
Place the wontons in the air fryer. Spray them with the nonstick cooking spray. Close the basket and set the air fryer 400°F for 6 to 8 minutes. Check after 6 minutes to see if you may need to spray the wontons again with the nonstick cooking spray.
Once they are done, remove from the air fryer using tongs and set aside to cool for a few minutes before enjoying.
Be careful, the cream cheese mixture will be hot.
Serve with hot mustard or sweet chili dipping sauce.
Notes
Use non-stick cooking spray or brush a little oil on the wontons before air frying to ensure it crisps up evenly.
Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket. Give each wonton enough space so they can cook evenly.
Check the wontons frequently while cooking to ensure they don't burn or overcook.
Give the basket a shake halfway through cooking to make sure they're not sticking.
