Ingredients
1 ½ - 2
pounds
skirt steak
2
tablespoons
steak seasoning
¾
cup
Italian salad dressing
2
tablespoons
Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Pat the skirt steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with the steak seasoning.
Place the steak in a large zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the Italian dressing and Worcestershire sauce over the steak. Turn to coat evenly.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.
Remove the steak from the refrigerator 30 minutes before grilling.
Preheat the grill to high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade.
Grill the steak for 3 to 5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 130°F to 135°F for medium-rare.
Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Slice thinly against the grain and serve immediately.
Notes
Tips
Marinate the skirt steak for at least 2 hours to help tenderize the meat and add flavor.
Let the steak sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before grilling for more even cooking.
After grilling, allow the steak to rest for 10 minutes and slice it thinly against the grain for the most tender bites.
Storage & Make Ahead
Skirt steak can be marinated up to 8 hours in advance and kept covered in the refrigerator until ready to grill.
Store leftover steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Enjoy leftovers cold in salads or reheat gently to prevent the meat from becoming tough.
