Ingredients for the Dough > active dry yeast > white sugar > warm water > scalded milk > white sugar > melted butter > salt > egg > all-purpose flour

In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in ½ cup warm water. Add 1 teaspoon sugar. Cover the bowl with a small plate and set aside for the yeast to proof; about 5 minutes.
