Melt the butter and add the onion.

Add the celery, and cook until softened.  Add the thyme, poultry seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.

Combine the cooked onion, celery and spices with the stuffing mix.  Add the beaten egg and the chicken broth.

Cook on high for 30 minutes, then reduce the temperature to low and continue to cook for another 2 ½ hours.
