Crock Pot Stuffing

This recipe for Crock Pot Stuffing is the perfect side dish for any holiday meal. especially Thanksgiving.

It's also one of my favorite easy recipes for Thanksgiving that are perfect to serve all year long.  Let's take a look at this easy recipe that uses a simple bag stuffing mix.

> Pepperidge Farm Stuffing Mix; 14 ounce size > chopped onion > celery stalks, chopped > butter > thyme > poultry seasoning > egg > cans of chicken broth; 14.5 ounce size each

Ingredients

In a large frying pan, melt the butter.  Add the onion and celery and cook until they are softened; a few minutes Add the thyme, poultry seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.

Combine the Ingredients

Combine the cooked onion, celery and spices to the stuffing mix.

Add the beaten egg.

Cooking Instructions

 Cook on high for 30 minutes, then reduce the temperature to low and continue to cook for another 2 ½ hours.

Turn the setting to keep warm until you're ready to serve.

Tips for using a Slow Cooker

Here are a few tips to make sure your any recipe comes out perfect:

> Don't overfill the crock pot. > Keep the lid on. Opening the slow cooker allows the heat and moisture to escape and can slow down the cooking process.
