Tips
Use room temperature butter and eggs so the dough mixes smoothly and bakes evenly.
Grease the skillet well with butter to help the cookie release easily and create crisp edges.
For the best texture, remove the cookie from the oven when the center is still slightly soft—it will continue to set as it cools.
Serving Tips:
Serve with a scoop of
Homemade Ice Cream
or
Homemade Whipped Cream
.
Storage & Make Ahead
Store leftovers covered in the skillet or an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Freeze individual wedges tightly wrapped for up to 2 months; thaw at room temperature or reheat briefly in the oven.
Prepare the dough up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate; let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before baking.
