Today is Veterans Day.
A day where we honor all those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Veterans Day is not to be confused with Memorial Day; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who gave their lives and those who perished while in service.
Is there a special Veteran in your life?
There is in MINE!
My hubby, who I lovingly refer to as The Colonel has been serving in the Army for over 28 years, both active duty and reserve duty, and has served three tours overseas...Iraq and two times in Afghanistan.
THIS is the photo he sent to me two years ago today while he was deployed in Afghanistan.
A few other photos from his three tours. I love this photo.
With a few of his men...
My hubby with his interpreter during a speech from one of the Afghan commanders...
Thank you to all who served and continue to serve!

Good Morning Lois, Hear, Hear, I totally agree. We must never, ever, forget the wonderful men and women who gave their lives so that we can live the life we lead today.
My husband George, is an Army Veteran, and was in the British Army for 25 years and I am also the daughter of a British army veteran who saw conflict as a young man in the Korean War. My Gramps served in the Royal Navy during World War II, so the military is in my blood. We have also lost friends in conflicts.
On Sunday we attended a Remembrance Service, in Newcastle, with our daughter, to remember our fallen friends and to give thanks to the many people who gave their lives.
We must always remember.
With warmest wishes to you.
