2 Corinthians 6:18

Happy Father's Day!

A day that can bring joy or sorrow to many people.

This will be my 5th year without my father and not a day goes by that I don't think of him...

This is the second year in a row that my Colonel is separated from us.

Last year he was with the cadets for over a month training in the state of Washington

and this year he is back in Afghanistan...

I know there are also many missing their fathers this year as well.

A few of my friends have recently lost their fathers and the pain is still very great for them.

I wanted to share with you a verse that the Lord gave me shortly after my father passed away:

And, "I will be a Father to you,

and you will be my sons and daughters,

says the Lord Almighty."

2 Corinthians 6:18

Isn't this comforting to know that even though our earthly fathers are no

longer with us, we still have our heavenly father!

He has always been and will forever be with us.

A wonderful promise and something worth celebrating...
