Really not much to update you about. Olivia is still in pain. The doctor does not want to have her go for steroid shots...which I do not want either. He needs us to wait until after we meet with the rheumatologist on 4/7 to see what this doctor has to say. So for now we'll just continue with the heating pad, an occasional Advil and prayer!
Thanks for all your comments and prayers yesterday. It was very sweet to see how many of you cared for her! She's heading today to Valley Forge Christian College to attend their college days. It's an overnight visit and she's very excited to get a taste of college life. A few of our youth group are attending, so it should be fun for all of them.
Michael's pretty excited also as he will not have to share anything with his sister tonight...no fighting over the computer or the TV. But more importantly not having to hear me yell up to her 20 times to "Get out of bed now or you'll miss the bus!"
It's amazing what makes them happy, huh?? Enjoy your day!

College is such an exciting time! I went about 700 miles from home and nearly died of homesickness for about 2 months. After that...loved it!

i am praying for Olivia. i hope all works out well for her. i don't know her history, but what she is dealing with now sounds like something my husband has gone through. his was both - herniated disks and pinched nerves. he's actually had this several times. a couple times he had surgery, but for the most part therapy has been the key. as long as he's faithful to his exercises, everything's good.
let us know about Olivia's college day also. my daughter is looking at Boyce College in Kentucky with Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (funny, at first i typed sermonary - lol), so i'd be interested in what Olivia finds on her college trip
