We are very fortunate to live near a lake, a state park lake in fact, about 5 miles from our house.
But I haven't been all year!
Today I'm going with the Missionettes from church.
And the boy's program is tagging along.
Mainly because most of the leaders have boys that we just can't leave at home!
No seriously, it's a combined outing.
Only all the boy's leaders are working, so we will have to supervise the boys as well.
It always works out that way, doesn't it?
There are no lifeguards at the lake this year.
This had me very worried.
But thankfully, one of our karate instructors at the church is also a lifeguard and he is coming. I think this is wonderful... that this recent college graduate wants to spend a day hanging out with a bunch of old women and kids.
So I'm off to pick a TON of lettuce to make a nice salad for our picnic.
I still need to bake some cookies and another cake.
It's going to be hot today,
but we have some canopies all ready to go up on the beach
and
I plan on sitting under one all day!

sounds like a fun day, enjoy. We went to a local lake last week and had the best time.
Yes we are staying in Willow Valley thi sweek, we always stop there for diner when we go to Lancaster, and I have always wanted to stay there it is such a neat hotel. Love the pool and playrooms for the kids.

Hey have a great time, that sounds like a blast. I lived literally ON a lake a few summers ago and got to the water twice all year (my work schedule didn't allow me to get there when the park was open), so I know how you feel. 😉 Enjoy today, and praying for safety for the boys.
