The Colonel was released from the hospital late yesterday afternoon.
BUT...
He still has to be seen by the doctors at Ft. Dix.
AND...
They were closed by the time we left the hospital.
SO...
It was back to the hotel last night.
He'll be seen by the Ft. Dix doctors this morning and they will authorize his medical leave
and we will head home as soon as we can!
There is good news!
He doesn't need the wound vac anymore. The wound is closing on its own.
He had the PICC IV line removed yesterday!
No more IV antibiotics.
We have a few prescriptions to fill and he'll be on some sort of medication for a few weeks, but that's so much better than IV antibiotics.
I'm grateful to the Lord for working in this situation.
The Lord never promised that we would never experience hard or difficult times.
He never promised that we would never face illness or surgery.
BUT,
He did promise that He would be with us
and help us and comfort us.
And this is what He has done in our lives this past week.
I will forever give thanks to the Lord for always being faithful to me.

Oh Lois, I am beyond thrilled to hear this good news!! Praise God from Whom ALL blessings flow!!
This is simply the best news I could have heard today!!
I'm praying that God will continue to heal the Colonel's infection and incision area, and get him back to normal soon!!
Just make sure he follows Dr's. orders!! These guys of ours that are accustomed to giving orders sometimes don't want to follow them, ya know??
Give the Colonel my warm regards, sweetie!!
Love and hugs,
Becky
