My blog has always been a place where I share a little of my life along with my recipes and today I'm sharing my children and titling this post, "Her Children Arise and Call Her Blessed."
Proverbs 31:28 - Call Her Blessed
Don't worry, I don't think that highly of myself. The subtitle is "but really I hope my children just arise and call me on Mother's Day."
There, isn't that better? And yes, I know they will call me. In fact, Michael already sent me a small gift.
Mother's Day Gifts
Mother's Day isn't about gifts to me. It never was and never will be. My kids know that. My husband knows that.
Well maybe in the beginning, those first early years it was about the gifts but as the kids began to grow I realized I already had the best gifts ever...what more could I want?
I never wanted a day just to myself or time to nap as most mom's these days are begging for on social media. No, I just wanted to be around my kids.
But now, Mother's Day isn't what it used to be and that's really okay and you know why? Because I've raised two really great kids.
Olivia is married and living in Florida with her husband Tyler.

And Michael is just graduated from Liberty University.
Michael last year at Liberty University.
And he is planning to get married this August to Katy!
I've said this so many times, but it bears repeating. All I ever wanted as a little girl was to grow up and be a mom. And guess what? I did.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there. Here's hoping the phones ring at some point today...which I know they will because they're GREAT kids.
