I've recovered from EVERYTHING!
Hopefully!
The Colonel is doing really well!
He goes back to Ft. Dix on Thursday of this week. Of course he needs to be seen by the doctors down there for them to say it's okay for him to return to work.
The nurse is coming today probably for the last time to see his wound, which looks really good!
Well, it's still a hole.
I guess I'm just use to it by now!
We had a great week relaxing and getting a few small projects done around the house.
The Colonel had all these plans to do these HUGE projects.
First he actually considered putting in a new walkway to the front porch.
Imagine that!
Then he said, "How would you like a potting shed?"
I'm glad both the doctor AND the home care nurse said,
"You can't do that!"
So we were all able to convince him to take it easy and just try to rest.
We took a trip on Friday to a nearby town called Jim Thorpe; named after the Olympian from the 1920's. It's a beautiful town and we only live about 20 minutes from it.
My brother and his family came with us and we had a great time!
Beautiful Jim Thorpe...
I have no words for this...
A cute little cafe in between two buildings...
An old tunnel in someone's back yard...
Beautiful building...
The Colonel waiting for me to finish shopping...
We had such a great time.
I'm off to spend some time with all of my friends.
I have missed checking in with you all!
Love my blogging friends!

Hi Sunshine,
So glad you are back and that Phil is doing so well! Praise the Lord
for He is so good!!
Hope you are getting rested up, these sort of things take way more out of us than we realize at the time. That looks like a very nice little town to visit, glad you all were able to get out and enjoy that while hubby is still off on
leave. Thanks for stopping by tonight and leaving a comment, it was great to hear from you hon.
Have a peaceful nights sleep.
Love and Blessings, Nellie
P.S. My son is doing great, soggy but good!!
I did write a lil bit about him in
todays blog, it was sort of in the middle and I highlighted my son
in case you didn't catch that. I know it was long and a lot to read.
God Bless!!

I was all set to write sweet words about how I am so happy to read that The Colonel is doing better, and then I spotted the planted toilet, and I forgot what I had planned to write!
