I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend.
I went back to the doctor on Thursday and am happy to
report that I now have bronchitis
on top of the throat infection and the ear infection.
The coughing has been pretty bad.
But I'm managing, feeling better every day.
I read a statistic the other day that 36 percent of
Army wives whose husbands are deployed overseas have
at least one mental health diagnosis
such as anxiety or a sleep disorder, etc.
Now I don't feel so lonely!
I wonder if there's a statistic of Army wives
whose husbands are deployed who
KEEP GETTING SICK?
I know I'm at the top of that list.
Enjoy your day!

Good grief! The epizootics are going all 'round. It seems everyone here has had some sort of respiratory problem and I'm, just now, getting over a cold. I take Sambucol and elderberry juice to boost my immune system and I do believe it helps. Feel better fast!

Praying for you and your family Lois My father was in the military and so many times people forget the hardship of separation and worry for the safety of that loved one that the loved ones experience. I truly empathize with you and your family.

Wow - you just can't win...sure hope those antibiotics kick in soon. There has to be some connection to not having the best medicine at home (like grapes and ginger ale from a man in uniform!) 🙂 Get well quick, my friend.

Gosh, I hope you start feeling better soon! I can only imagine the anxiety you must feel with your husband deployed. Whether you try to squish it or not, it truly is there and your body is open to attack. It's a spiritual warfare, as well, with your soul being attacked daily. Your wonderful man WILL come home to you. So many are offering prayers on your behalf. Get well, Sunshine!

Oh Lois I am sorry you have not been feeling well. It is surely the stress of it all as it definitely lowers your resistence. I am glad to hear you seem to be on the uphill swing of things though. I do try and remember to pray for you everyday, as I can so feel how hard it must be for you to have him gone. And yet! the year is already over half over. The time seems to be flying (hope it seems that way to you to) Hang in there! HUGS, Debbie

YUP, it's the stress! It lowers the immune system. You are an inspiration to me though, because you are getting through this year with the Colonel gone (and the year is half over already!!) So I know I can get through it too:) For me it's the waiting for the unknown, I think once my son is actually there and I get used to the new *empty nest* routine here at home it should get easier? I'm hoping:) I'm praying you get to feeling better soon!!!
Linda says
The good news is you sound like you are getting better! The bad news, stress does a number on your immune system! I am hoping you are doing better soon! Hang in there!
