A Little Bragging

If you don't mind...my son Michael took his green belt test Monday evening. On the way to class I was reminding him not to be upset if he didn't pass...silly Mom!!!

He broke that board on the first try. Isn't that a great shot?

He also had to break a board with his hand. I never thought he could do this, but he did! And also on his first try. He broke both boards so quickly and made it look very easy.

On Sunday, he receive a trophy for participating in the Word Reader Club at church. Here he is with his teacher. Every year she gives the kids a chapter a week to read and they have to write a summary on the chapter and answer questions. This is Michael's third year doing every reading assignment. Quite a few kids participate but only three this year completed every assignment.
Michael turned 12 yesterday and he is turning into such a great kid! Both he and Olivia are very responsible and help out quite a bit at home and always manage to make me laugh DAILY. They truly are the greatest gifts I have ever received!
