Ideas for Decorating with Red Plaid for Christmas and Winter

Name one thing that just screams Christmas for you.

Come on, can you think of one thing?  For me it's Red Plaid or better known as Christmas Red Plaid.  I have loved it for many years.  My husband actually got me started on my love for plaid when we were first married.  And I'm slowly getting into the latest craze of buffalo plaid as well.

I have a blue and black buffalo plaid shirt that is my favorite.  It's so warm and soft.  It's been awhile since I shared any of my Walking on Sunshine's Favorites so here is a fun post to get us all in the mood for Christmas and even winter with these fun red plaid ideas.  I even included a few traditional red and white ideas too!

I love these plaid napkins that even have the word Merry embroidered on them, so maybe if I can't do the charger plates the napkins would look really nice on our table too this Christmas!

White Plates - I love white plates.  I've had them since we were first married.  When I went to pick out my every day dishes there were so many patterns and styles to choose from it was a bit overwhelming.  Then I saw the white plates and fell in love.  I remember my mother asking if I was sure that's what I wanted because I also have a love for blue and white plates but I immediately replied that the white would look beautiful with anything and they do.  I have white platters, white serving bowls, white mugs, etc.  They work with everything.

Red Plaid Scarf - if you're doing anything Christmasy outdoors in the next few weeks you need a red plaid scarf.  I need to get my hubby and son each one of these for our annual trip into the city to see the tree.  Yes, the tree in New York City.  We go every year on New Year's Day.

Red and White Canister Set - these would look great with my coffee bar set up in our kitchen.

If you're looking for a gift for someone, this pillow would be great.  I know it's not really red plaid, but the colors are perfect for Christmas.

Beautiful guests towels for the bathroom.   Do you like to put out fresh pretty towels for guests too?  My kids love to joke that you're not allowed to touch the towels, but really guests are more than welcome to use them.  Really.

Christmas Plaid Shirt I love this!  This shirt would look great with black leggings or black skinny jeans.  I need to go shopping!

This Christmas Santa and Cookies Plate is so cute!  Your kids are going to love writing a special not to Santa in chalk on the plate.
