Here are my memories from 2008. 2008 was a hard year for me as I lost my father in May. I hope you enjoy reading a little of what life was like here in my corner of the world and share a look back on the year 2008 with me.
~A good book I read~
Abram's Daughters by Beverly Lewis
~A great film/movie I watched~
I loved all the Jane Austin series that PBS did, especially Persuasion.
~A new place I visited~
The Hotel Bethlehem
~An inspiring verse or quote I read~
"I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere to go. My own wisdom, and that of all about me, seemed insufficient for the day." Abraham Lincoln
~A discovery I made~
Facebook! Love it! If you want to become friends on Facebook, let me know and I'll send a friend request to you!
~A new skill I acquired~
I started my blog...Walking on Sunshine Recipes was created!
~A lesson I learned~
To always tell the people you love, that you love them!
~A moment I will always remember~
Seeing my father at the bottom of those stairs and saying goodbye to him.

Hi Lois, I so love the Abraham Lincoln quote! And I loved reading your list of 25 things. My youngest daughter is very shy. It took me some time to understand her as our older three girls are very outgoing. She has to feel comfortable with a person and then she really opens up.
It is always so nice to visit with you!

Enjoyed reading your list. I thought about what some of my answers would be. You're right. It isn't easy. Takes a lot of thought.

You crack me up!! You and Leisa both made "stalking" comments on the same post!! How hilarious!! You are the last two I would ever be concerned about!! I saw on someone else's blog that they were having trouble posting a comment!!
Must be a blogger issue.
Thanks for your perserverence!! I love hearing from you!!

Hi Lois, your post is so thoughtful and considered, and you were spot on with the lesson you learned. Sucha small and simple thing to do, but how often do we not take the opportunity to do it when we get the chance.
Hope you have had a great day and are all set for the coming weekend! Blessings to you and all whom you love dear Lois!

That quote was stitched and framed really cute in one of my favorite country stores but it was $50. I still want to go and get it but should find a place for it before I bring it home. I'm not too sure my hubby would like it!!!

OK, I'm the one who spent the year traveling the lower 48, yet my stay-at-home wife is apparently living this rich existence. I'm going to have to devote some brain cells to come up with some of this. Love you, Princess.
