Yes, my Colonel is HOME!
Took him 6 days to get to us.
He arrived home last Wednesday.
My son took the pictures and you can he was only focusing on his dad.
But that's okay!
I do love this one!
One big happy family!
When he walked through the security gates, the guards started applauding.
Wonderful.
A cake to celebrate!
He returns to Afghanistan on the 27th.
But until then he's home, safe and sound.
It feels as if he never left.
All is right in my world.

Lois this was a great surprise...I am so glad your honey is home for some R&R. The pictures show the joy you are all feeling. I hope you have a delightful time with him.
Thank him for me for his service to us...I know it costs our men a lot, and they sacrifice so much for us. We need to say Thanks much more than we do.
