Yes, my Colonel is HOME!
Took him 6 days to get to us.
He arrived home last Wednesday.
My son took the pictures and you can he was only focusing on his dad.
But that's okay!
I do love this one!
One big happy family!
When he walked through the security gates, the guards started applauding.
Wonderful.
A cake to celebrate!
He returns to Afghanistan on the 27th.
But until then he's home, safe and sound.
It feels as if he never left.
All is right in my world.
Thank you Lord.

I'm late reading your post. You posted about a week ago, but I'm so happy (and am crying) to see your family reunited even if for a short time. Great pictures! Tell the General it's time for a promotion. Go Army! (My dad and FIL were Army men.) God bless our military men and women!
