Step-by-Step Instructions
This section includes step-by-step photos and instructions to guide you through the recipe. For the complete printable version, scroll down to the recipe card below.

Step 1: Fill each bag with your choice of orange candy pieces.

Step 2: Tie the tops with green ribbon and trim the ends. If the tops of the bags are too long, you can cut them.
Insider Tips from My Kitchen to Yours
✔️ DO tie the ribbon in a bow or a simple double knot, then cut the ends at an angle to create a pretty “V” shape for a polished look.
❌ DO NOT overfill the cellophane bags or they won’t hold the carrot shape and will be harder to tie neatly.

Storage Tips
- Store your treat bags in the pantry or in a closet for up to 2 weeks.
- The candy pieces would last longer than crackers or popcorn which tend to go stale faster.

Hi! Excited to make these for my Peter Rabbit themed baby shower 🙂 I'm curious if you know how many oz you put in each bag? Having a hard time visualizing whether I should be getting the 2lb or 5lb bag. Will be making ~30-40 favors and don't need them too big. Thanks!

Consider using the 10 ounce sized treat bags I link to in the recipe card, and to ensure the treat bags look full and festive, plan on purchasing 3 to 4 (15 oz) bags of orange M&M's, depending on how full you want them. If you prefer less candy per bag, you could use 3 bags, but for a fuller look, 4 bags would be ideal.
