Last Monday, we did something I said I would never do again...
Apple Picking.
The last time we went was five years ago.
It was 90 degrees.
The Colonel was working.
I had to carry two huge bags of apples.
The kids were no help.
I had a miserable time.
But life goes on and a certain somebody asked to go again...

Beautiful mums...
Beautiful barn...
Beautiful red and green apples...
Beautiful Colonel...
Beautiful Son...
Beautiful friends and a great mom...
This time it was PERFECT.
The Colonel was home.
The weather was beautiful.
And I didn't have to carry the boxes of apples.
I had the best time.
Well, except for the bus ride to get to the orchard, but I won't go there, okay?
I can't wait to go again next year!

Sometimes it is truly amazing how an experience that was once unpleasant or difficult can actually be enjoyable the second time...so glad you gave apple picking a second chance (altho I can see why the first time was not so much fun).

We had a great time picking apples when we visited our relatives in CT. The best part was eating them. There is nothing like fresh apples. I'm glad this trip went better than last for you!

Yes~ I made it to my speaking engagement. I had just felt bad Monday and by Tuesday evening I was better. By the next morning I had a horrible sore throat.I have had every symptom of swine just not at the same time! I am heading to the Dr. now~ I think I need a Z-pac.

Looks like you had FUN, lol! We didn't have any apples on our trees this year due to a late spring freeze, and the orchards in our area didn't either, so you are a lucky girl, and they look DEE-LICIOUS, love that barn too!!! Enjoy your day:)
