👩🍳How to Melt Chocolate for Dipping Strawberries
- Microwave Method: Place chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat the chocolate in short intervals of 20-30 seconds, stirring well between each interval until completely melted and smooth. Be cautious not to overheat the chocolate to prevent it from becoming grainy or burnt.
- Double Boiler Method: Fill a small saucepan with water and place it over low heat. Place a heat-proof bowl on top of the saucepan, ensuring a snug fit without touching the water. Add the chocolate to the bowl and stir occasionally until it melts and becomes smooth.
- Made Easy: Make chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate pretzels and cake pops with the Wilton melting pot. With an ergonomic, heat-resistant handle and two easy-pour spouts it is perfect for pouring melted candy or drizzling directly onto treats.

- Try using white or pink melted chocolate for a fun twist!

📌Quick Tip: Make the Strawberry Reindeer the same day you plan to serve them as they won’t stay fresh for more than 1-2 days.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Break the curved part of the pretzels off on each side to create the antlers.
Step 2: Stick the pretzel pieces into the strawberries to look like antlers.
How to dip Strawberries in Melted Chocolate
Step 3: Let the strawberries sit on a cutting board while you melt the chocolate. Use the directions in my How to Melt Chocolate post.

🍶Storage Tips
- Store the chocolate-covered strawberries at room temperature, lightly cover them with foil or plastic wrap and place them in a cool and dry spot.
- However, keep in mind that at room temperature, they are more prone to spoilage, so it's recommended to consume them within 24 hours.
- If you need to store them longer than 24 hours, they should be refrigerated.
❄️Freezing Tips
- This recipe does not stand up to freezing.
➡️Top Recipe Tip
- Make sure the strawberries are completely dry before dipping them in chocolate. Moisture on the strawberries can cause the chocolate to seize or become grainy, resulting in a less desirable texture.
Refrigeration can cause condensation to form on the chocolate, resulting in sweating. If you plan to consume the chocolate-covered strawberries on the same day, it is best to store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, uncovered.

- Melt the chocolate in a bowl according to the directions on the back of the package or you can use the directions in my How to Melt Chocolate post.
