How to Make the Peppermint Brownies
To make the brownies, you need to add the following ingredients to the dry mix from the mason jar:
- 2 sticks of melted butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, eggs and vanilla until smooth.
- Stir in the brownie mix contents from the jar until everything is combined.
Baking Instructions
- Add the brownie batter to a baking dish that's been lined with parchment paper. You can also just spray the bottom of a pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Smooth the brownie batter to make sure it's an even layer.
- Then bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 18 to 25 minutes or until the center is set.
- You'll know the brownies are done when a knife inserted into the middle of the pan comes out clean.
Cooling and Cutting Tips
- Allow the brownies to cool in the baking pan for about 15 minutes before gently lifting up the parchment paper and transferring the brownies to a cooling rack to cool completely before slicing.
- It helps to slice the brownies with either a serrated knife or a plastic knife to get clean edges.
How Far Ahead can I Prepare this Brownie Mix?
You should try to put together the brownie mix at least a few days before you want to give them as gifts. The brownies should be made within 2 weeks of everything being sealed in the jars. That way you're sure the ingredients are still fresh.
