How to Bake Chocolate Chip Cookies from a Mix
- Using an electric mixer, beat ¾ cup softened butter with 1 large egg and ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract in large bowl until blended.
- Add cookie mix; mix well, breaking up any clumps.
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto parchment lined baking sheets.
- Bake in a 375°F oven for 9-11 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before moving to wire racks to cool completely.

Mason Jar Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ teaspoon baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
To Bake the Cookies:
- ¾ cup butter softened
- 1 large egg
- ¾ teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
To Assemble the Mason Jar Mix:
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
- Place flour mixture in a 1-quart jar.
- Layer chocolate chips, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in that order, pressing firmly after each layer.
- Seal with lid and decorate with fabric and ribbon.
Instructions on Label for Baking:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
