Tips for Mason Jar Gift Ideas
Wide mouth mason jars work best, but regular mason jars work just as well. In fact, that's what I use most of the time.
Use a wide mouth funnel when filling mason jars to help keep things neat.
Use a tamper tart tool to help you pack down each layer before adding the next ingredient.
Always include instructions on how to bake the cookies otherwise your gift recipient will not know how to bake the cookies!
Another fun gift mix to give would be gingerbread mix in a jar around the holidays. Or even mason jar brownie gift mix would be another option.

Storing, Freezing and Thawing Tips
Pantry: As long as the jar is sealed, mason jar cookie mixes should stay good for at least 3 months since they're shelf stable ingredients. Store in a cool, dry, dark place for optimal storage.
Baked Cookies: Once the cookies are baked, store them in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Once the cookies are baked, flash freeze them before adding them to a freezer safe zip top bag or air-tight container for up to 3 months.
Freezer: You can freeze the cookie mix in the jar for up to a year.
Thawing: Let the cookies thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
