Pork Won Tons are a fun appetizer to make for company or you can easily prepare a bunch of these and serve as a light dinner for your family.

The very first time I prepared these Pork Won Tons, I had leftover pork from our New Year's Day dinner.  I decided to try my hand at making won tons...something my husband and I enjoy when we order Chinese food.

They weren't very hard to make at all!  I was so happy with how these pork won tons came out and my husband loved them.  They made for a fun light dinner one night and I've made them as appetizers for company.

If you are going to serve them as appetizers, it's easier to prepare the won tons early in the day, lining them on a baking tray.  Then cover the won tons with a damp paper towel and place in the refrigerator until your guests arrive.

I like to start frying them right after the first guest arrives.  It's fun to even have your friends sitting in the kitchen while you make these so they can enjoy them as they're ready.

I've used a deep fryer and a frying pan with oil, BUT these would also be really good to make using an air fryer.

    Pork Won Tons - Appetizer

Saute the coleslaw mix in the melted butter until softened.

Add the pork and teriyaki sauce to heat through and combine with the coleslaw mix.

Lay out your won ton wrappers and place about  1 tablespoon of the pork and coleslaw mixture on one side of the won ton wrapper.

Spread some water around the edges of the won ton.  THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

Fold the won ton over and press to seal all the edges.

I had a tray ready to go in just a few minutes.

In a heavy saucepan, heat up some oil and start cooking your won tons.  You can also use a deep fryer, but a heavy saucepan works great.

Cook until both sides are golden brown; just a few minutes.  Remove from the frying pan and drain on a tray that is layered with paper towels.

Serve with some hot mustard or soy sauce.
