Air Fryer Success: Important Things to Remember
Arrange the cinnamon rolls in the air fryer basket with enough space between them to allow for even air circulation and cooking. I was able to fit 7 rolls around the edge and 1 in the center.
You'll want to keep an eye on the cinnamon rolls to get them browned on both sides. Check on them after 4 minutes of cooking time.
They should be browning nicely on top. Carefully flip them over so they can continue browning on the other side.
For the smoothest frosting, make sure the cream cheese and butter are at room temperature before mixing. This will help you achieve a creamy consistency without lumps.

Absolutely! You can use store bought cream cheese frosting, vanilla frosting, or even a simple glaze made with powdered sugar and milk.
Preheating your air fryer is not necessary for this recipe, but you can do so if your model recommends it. Preheating might help achieve a more consistent cooking temperature.
Storage and Reheating Instructions
Refrigerate: Store any leftover cinnamon rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They can be reheated in the microwave for about 30 seconds or until warm.
Freezer: Allow the cinnamon rolls to cool completely before freezing. Place the wrapped cinnamon rolls in an airtight container or a freezer safe zip top bag. For best quality, enjoy them within 2-3 months.
Freezing Tip: You can apply the cream cheese frosting before freezing, but for best results, consider adding it after reheating. If you do frost them before freezing, make sure the frosting is set and firm before wrapping.
Thaw and Reheat: Allow them to thaw in the refrigerator overnight, or at room temperature for a couple of hours. Reheat them in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds or until warm. Be careful not to overheat, as the frosting may melt too much.

Ingredients
- 1 (8 count) package Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- cooking spray
Instructions
- Spray the air fryer basket with oil.
- Lay the cinnamon rolls out in the basket of the air fryer. You should have enough room for 7 around the edge and 1 in the center.
- Air fry at 350°F. After 4 minutes, check on the cinnamon rolls - they should be starting to brown nicely on the top. At this point, carefully flip them over. If you don’t flip them, they will be overly brown on top and raw underneath.
- To make the frosting, add the softened cream cheese and butter to a mixing bowl and beat until there are no lumps.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and beat until the frosting is smooth and creamy.
- Remove the cinnamon rolls from the air fryer, and leave them to cool for a couple of minutes.
- Add the frosting while they are still warm.
