Bacon Wrapped Cheese Jalapenos
Bacon Wrapped Cheese Jalapenos are going to be a hit at your next family get together! A few days before our daughter's wedding I sent her a text while she and her fiance were running errands and asked them to stop at the grocery store and bring home ONE jalapeno for me.
I was making homemade salsa and that was the one ingredient I forgot to purchase. She brought home a whole bag...with 12 jalapenos. Way more than I needed for salsa. She told me not to worry that I would use them.
Well, yesterday I used the remaining 11 jalapenos with this amazing appetizer recipe that I know you're going to love. Really anything wrapped in bacon is delicious and these jalapenos are delicious!
Tips for Making Bacon Wrapped Cheese Jalapenos
You're going to want to follow these few tips when you're cooking with jalapenos or any other type of hot pepper.
- Make sure you wear plastic gloves. It helps to keep the juices from the pepper running down your fingers.
- After slicing the peppers in half, you can lay them upside down on a clean paper towel to continue letting the juices run out.
- Wash your hands immediately after touching the seeds and the membranes.
- Be careful! You do not want to accidentally touch your eyes or any open cut on your hands with pepper juice.

Make sure you print out the recipe below and save it for later!
Ingredients:
- 12 jalapeno peppers
- 8 ounces cream cheese; room temperature
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 clove garlic
- 12 slices bacon; each slice cut in half
- salt and pepper
Let's Get Cooking!
To begin with, cut the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membrane. Set aside.
In a stand mixer or food processor, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic, salt and pepper until smooth.
Use a small spoon to stuff the jalapenos.
Next, you need to wrap each stuffed jalapeno with a half of slice of bacon. And finally secure with a toothpick through the center to make sure the bacon stays in place.
Place the jalapenos on a baking tray that has been lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 15 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted.
Ready to serve! These were a hit when I made them recently for a family gathering. We actually made over 50 of them!
