Bacon-Wrapped Cheese Jalapeños are guaranteed to be a hit at your next get-together! A few days before our daughter’s wedding, I asked her to grab one jalapeño for my salsa. She came home with a whole bag—12 in total! She told me not to worry, I’d find a use for them.
Well, she was right. I used the extras to make this irresistible appetizer—and let’s be honest, anything wrapped in bacon is always a win!

My Go-To Tips for Working with Jalapeños:
- Make sure you wear plastic gloves. It helps to keep the juices from the pepper running down your fingers.
- After slicing the peppers in half, you can lay them upside down on a clean paper towel to continue letting the juices run out.
- Wash your hands immediately after touching the seeds and the membranes.
- Be careful! You do not want to accidentally touch your eyes or any open cut on your hands with pepper juice.
How to Store, Freeze and Reheat
Refrigerate: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to keep the bacon crispy.
Freezer: Place cooked and cooled jalapeños on a baking sheet and freeze until solid. Transfer to a freezer-safe container or zip-top bag with parchment paper between layers. Freeze for up to 2 months.
Thaw and Reheat: Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Reheat in a 375°F oven or air fryer for 8–10 minutes, or until heated through and bacon is crispy.
