You only need a few ingredients to make these Chocolate Puff Pastry Twists. They're filled with a sweetened chocolate cream cheese mixture and then rolled up in flaky, buttery puff pastry.
This puff pastry recipe is easy to make and will disappear fast when you serve them to family and friends. In fact, I guarantee your family will think these are from a bakery and not something you baked.
This is another recipe that uses my favorite frozen puff pastry baking sheets. Using puff pastry is such an easy way to make an elegant dessert without hardly any work.
In fact, you can have these ready to serve in under an hour and that's only if you wait for them to cool long enough to add the powdered sugar glaze. By the way, they're delicious warm from the oven!

Where is puff pastry kept in the grocery store?
Puff pastry is kept in the freezer section of a grocery store. In my local grocery store it's next to the frozen whipped topping. It should be stored in the freezer at home as well until you're ready to use it.
When you need to use it for a recipe, pull it out of the freezer and allow it to defrost in the refrigerator overnight. While working with the dough, you want it to still be cold to that you can slice it without crushing the layers of dough and butter.
What to do with one sheet of puff pastry?
This recipe uses two sheets of puff pastry. However, the package of puff pastry comes with two sheets wrapped together in paper. So what do you do with the other sheet if you only need to use one sheet?
I wrap the extra sheet up in first plastic wrap and then aluminum foild. Then I place it inside a plastic storage bag and place that back in the freezer.
