👩🍳Can you put Naan Bread in the Air Fryer?
- The air fryer is a perfect appliance for cooking naan bread. Not only is it a convenient method, but it also guarantees a delightfully crispy texture that will leave you wanting more.
- Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the naan bread in batches. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure proper air circulation.
How to make Naan Bread Crispy?
- For a crispier crust, you can try pre-baking the naan for a few minutes in the oven before adding the toppings. This will prevent the crust from becoming soggy.
- Instead of using a baking sheet, place the naan directly on the oven rack. This allows for better air circulation, resulting in a crispier crust.
- To create a hotter baking environment and achieve crispier naan bread, raise the oven temperature to approximately 425-450°F.

💡 Substitutions and Variations
- Shredded Provolone can be substituted for the Fontina, or just use more Mozzarella.
- You could use salami instead of pepperoni or brown up some Italian Sausage to sprinkle on.
- Add your favorite veggies like bell peppers and onions!
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Step 1: Spread the pizza sauce onto the bread. You can sprinkle on Italian Seasoning if desired.
- Step 2: Add the cheeses and pepperoni slices.
- Step 3: Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes. The cheese will be melted and lightly golden brown.
📌Quick Tip: When adding the sauce, don't go all the way to the edges to leave some "crust".

🍶Storage Tips
- Store in the refrigerator in an air tight container for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in a toaster oven, air fryer, or oven for best results. Using the microwave will make it soft and mushy.
❄️Freezing Tips
- To prepare naan pizzas ahead of time, prepare the pizza up to the baking instructions, then place the baking sheet into the freezer for the pizza to firm up. Once it's solid, transfer to a freezer safe bag.
- Bake as usual, adding a few minutes since it's frozen.
➡️Top Recipe Tip
- For an extra crispy crust, bake the naan for 3 minutes, then add your toppings and bake as usual.
Pizza dough is made with just flour, yeast, salt, and water. On the other hand, naan dough is made with dairy products such as yogurt.
Naan bread can often be found in the bakery or deli section of your local grocery store.
Pita bread is typically thinner and more elastic than naan, with a drier and less fluffy texture. It is often used for sandwiches or as a dipper for hummus and other spreads.
