- 1 package Oreo Cookies
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
- 1 package (12 oz.) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Twist Pretzels
- Candy Eyes
- Red M&Ms
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Step 1: Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and process them until you get fine crumbs.
- Step 2: Combine the crushed Oreo cookies with the softened cream cheese.
- Step 3: Roll out the dough into 1-inch sized balls. I like to use a small cookie scoop to make sure they're all the pretty much the same size.
- Step 4: Melt the chocolate according to the directions below.
How to Melt Chocolate
- Begin by placing the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and place the bowl in the microwave using the low setting and starting out in 30 seconds intervals.
- Remove the bowl from the microwave and stir the chocolate. One of the biggest mistakes people make with using the microwave is, they forget to stir the chocolate after each interval. Chocolate pieces can retain their shape until you stir them.
- If you don't stir, you risk burning the chocolate.
- Return the chocolate back to the microwave and repeat with another 10 to 15 seconds until the chocolate is completely melted.
- In just a few minutes you'll have perfectly beautiful melted chocolate for dipping.
Dip in Chocolate
- Use a fork to dip the truffles into the melted chocolate.
- And when you're ready to remove the truffles, gently tap the fork on the edge of the glass bowl to remove the excess melted chocolate.
- Place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Decorate Oreo Truffles
- While the truffles are still wet, push the broken pretzel pieces into the sides at the top for the antler.
- Next, adhere the candy eyes and red M&Ms by dapping a little melted chocolate on the back to use as glue.

Prep-Ahead Tips

- Add the pretzel twists on the day you plan on serving or giving as gifts. The pretzels will not stand up well to being stored in the refrigerator.
Top Recipe Tip
When melting the chocolate chips, don't let any water to come in contact. It will cause the chocolate to "seize" and you won't get the right consistency. If this happens, throw it out and start over.
