Easy Strawberry Desserts
Chocolate Covered Strawberries are very popular for Valentine's Day. A few years ago I made Chocolate Covered Heart Shaped Strawberries and they were such a great hit!
One of my newer recipes is Strawberry Cheesecake Pudding Cups that's made with instant cheesecake pudding and fresh strawberries.
How to Properly Store Strawberries
- Do not wash the strawberries. Strawberries are like sponges and will soak up all the water causing them to spoil. You can clean the strawberries with a slightly dampened paper towel to remove any dirt.
- Check to see if any of the strawberries are molday. If there are any, remove them immediately and discard them. You don't want to take a chance in getting the rest of the berries moldy.
- Remove the strawberries from the original package. Line a plastic container with a piece of paper towel or a napkin. The paper towel will collect any extra moisture that the strawberries might have.
- Do not cover the container. Cover the strawberries lightly with another piece of paper towel.
- Store the strawberries in the refrigerator.
