Air Fryer Mummy Quesadillas
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F. Arrange 4 tortillas in the basket and top with half the cheese. Cut the remaining tortillas into strips. Air-fry these strips separately for 1-2 minutes until slightly firm, but not browned.
Air-fry the assembled quesadillas for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the strips turn golden. Carefully add the pre-fried strips and candy eyes while the cheese is still hot and gooey.
Electric Skillet Method
Heat your electric skillet to medium. Place tortillas in the skillet, top with cheese, and arrange cut tortilla strips in a mummy design. Cover and cook 2-3 minutes per side until cheese melts.
Add candy eyes. Repeat for remaining quesadillas, cooking in batches if needed. Adjust heat to prevent burning. Enjoy your spooky snacks!
Bella Quesadilla Maker Method
If you prefer a dedicated appliance, a quesadilla maker is another excellent option for cooking these cheesy delights.
Whether you're using an electric skillet or this handy Bella Quesadilla Maker, will help you create perfect quesadillas in minutes with minimal cleanup!

Step-by-Step Directions
Step 1: Add cheese to half of the mini flour tortillas.
Step 2: Use a knife or pizza cutter to cut the remaining tortillas into strips. Place them on top of the cheese to create a mummy.
Baking Instructions
Step 3: Bake at 350°F for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and immediately add the candy eyes to cheese so they will stick.
Top Tip
As soon as the quesadillas come off the skillet/quesadilla maker, quickly place the candy eyes onto the melted cheese peeking through the "mummy" strips. The residual heat will help them adhere to the cheesy mummy face.

Cheeses that melt best are those that become creamy and gooey when heated. This includes Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Colby, Pepper Jack, Mozzarella, or a Mexican blend.
Add a small amount of oil, butter, or nonstick spray to the pan. Use just enough to coat the surface.
Use a nonstick pan, and cook on medium or medium-low heat. High heat can cause the tortilla to burn and stick before the cheese has a chance to melt properly.
