Step 1: Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix for 5 minutes.

Step 3: In a mixing bowl, add the brownie mix and eggs, water and vanilla. Mix until batter is smooth. Spray 9 x 9 baking pan with non-stick baking spray and add batter. Cook at 350°F for 18-22 minutes.

For the Brownie Mix:
  • 1 cup baking cocoa powder
  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 cups sugar
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • ¾ tablespoon baking powder
To Prepare the Brownies:

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

      You should be able to put 2 cups of dry mix into one 32 ounce mason jar. Therefore, this recipe makes 4 mason jars. I updated the blog post with this information as well. Thank you for visiting!

    Wait! In the instructions for how to make the brownies, it says add "eggs, water and vanilla." How many eggs, how much water and vanilla? Thanks!
