Candy Cane Parfaits
Our 12 Days of Christmas Celebration continues with the perfect dessert to serve for all your holiday celebrations this year! Candy Cane Parfaits are easy to make and full of delicious peppermint flavor. AND they’re made in my favorite mason jars!
They’re so easy to make when you start out with a store-bought angel food cake. Of course, you could make a homemade angel food cake, but it’s not really necessary. Definitely make the homemade whipped cream though because the taste is amazing and doesn’t compare to the kind you can buy in a tub.
In just a few minutes you’ll have these delicious Candy Cane Parfaits ready to go! Use them as dessert for Christmas dinner or make up a bunch to give as gifts to neighbors and friends.

How to Layer the Candy Cane Parfaits
Add candy canes to a plastic zipper bag, seal and crush them by hitting them gently with the back of a large spoon or meat mallet.
Add the crushed candy canes to the bottom of the mason jar.
Then add a layer of peppermint whipped cream using a piping bag to get pretty swirls of whipped cream.
Add more crushed cane canes, the angel food cake and top with whipped cream.
How to Serve Candy Cane Parfaits
Break a red candy stick in half and place in the whipped cream.
Sprinkle more crushed candy canes over the parfait before serving if desired. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
How to Use a Plastic Storage Bag as a Piping Bag
If you don’t have a piping bag, simply use a plastic storage bag!
- Place the plastic bag in a large glass and fold the top of the bag over the edge of the glass
- Spoon the whipped cream into the bag.
- Fold up the bag and squeeze out the air to seal.
- Press the whipped cream into the bottom of the bag and twist to create a piping bag shape.
- Using scissors, clip the corner of the storage bag right before you’re ready to pipe the whipped cream.
