Main Ingredients Needed

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 | Prepare the Crescent Rolls

• Open the crescent roll dough but keep it in the log form.
• Slice the dough into 8 to 10 equal pieces.
• Place them on a parchment lined baking sheet.
• Using a tart tamper tool, gently press to create an indent in each for the apple pie filling.

Step 2 | Add the Apple Pie Filling

• Add about a tablespoon into the center of each crescent circle.

Step 3 | Brush with Egg Wash

• Brush the crescent roll "rim" with a beaten egg white. This will give the danish a shine.

Step 4 | Baking Instructions

• Bake for 10 minutes in a preheated 350°F oven or until the edges are golden brown.
• Allow the danish to cool before drizzling with the powdered sugar glaze.

Recipe Variations

• You can use any pie filling flavor you like. Cherry or lemon would be great too.
• If you want, you can try vanilla or lemon extract instead of the almond extract.
