Tips for Prepping Ahead
Here are a few prep-ahead tips to being able to give your family breakfast even if your time is limited in the mornings:
- Have easy ingredients ready to go if you want to make a quick omelet mug in the microwave. Chopped veggies and grated cheese are easy to add to a beaten egg in a mug.
- Make a batch of banana or blueberry muffins and freeze them. That way you can pull a few out of the freezer the night before to serve the kids with a glass of milk or orange juice.
- Everyone loves smoothies. Have frozen fruit ready to go in serving size bags. That way all you or your children have to do is reach into the freezer, grab a bag of fruit and add it to the blender with yogurt and other ingredients.
- There's always the make-ahead breakfast burrito or egg muffins you can prepare on the weekend and freeze ahead. Try my scrambled egg muffins that freeze great!
